The SDGs are global goals established by the UN to achieve a sustainable future, this implies a certain educational approach and teachers as a central element of this innovation, which puts the focus on their training. The exploratory study presented aims to describe the perception of students of the master's degree in Secondary Education Teaching at USC (academic year 2022-23) about the development of professional teaching competencies related to the SDGs during their internship period. Quantitatively and with the questionnaire as an instrument for collecting information, the results obtained show that the participants consider the practicum as a scenario for the development of professional teaching competencies related to the SDGs and identified areas for improvement, such as the need to develop their skills to plan and design learning activities on the SDGs and to work in collaboration with other professionals.
