Abstract

José Gimeno Sacristán is a retired Professor of Didactics and School Organization at the University of Valencia (Spain). He is one of the most recognized pedagogues in our country and, without a doubt, one of the most influential figures in the educational field in Spain nowadays. In the interview, the author keeps a speech filled of personal anecdotes through which it is possible to rebuild his academic career, while at the same time we can better understand the social, political and scientific background of the Spanish Transition and the subsequent decades. The author also brings us closer to his vision of the meaning of education, culture and pedagogy today.
