The present contribution aims at casting light on the role of a liaison interpreter working within the field of a Fair event. It originates both from my personal background as a liaison and conference interpreter specialised in the language combination Spanish-Italian and from my academic experience as professor of interpreting techniques at the University of Messina (Italy). Through this article I intend to provide both further information about a field which has not received particular attention so far and some didactic guidelines which could prove useful for teachers and future interpreters. Eventually, I will provide a ?script? which could be used for practice during interpreting lessons.
