Abstract

This work is part of the preformative phase of the students of the Degree in Social Education at the National University of Distance Education (UNED), specifically in the subject of Professional Practices III (PP-III).

The reflection on the evolution of the professional identity (PI) of students in external practices in real training contexts, is the assumption of the research theme. the purpose of this research is describes based on an innovative pedagogical model designed to advance the excellence of the practical training process of the PP-III subject.

The objective of the work is: to know if the Professional Practices (PP) influence the evolution of the Professional Identity of the students of the Degree in Social Education. This is valued when applying the designed model to a study population made up of PPIII students of the discipline. The collection of information is carried out by means of a mixed methodology, applying and analyzing questionnaires and practice diaries. The results underline clear evidence that PP contributes to the evolution of the PI of the students of the discipline in all its dimensions, and is demonstrated by explaining the actions carried out that have influenced the improvement of the PI of the students.
