Abstract

In this paper, we have selected Hofstede's theory of cultural dimensions to explain the reasons why two diametrically opposed cultures obtain a large difference on the same dimension. By analyzing two Spanish reports on Xi Jinping's speech on the centenary of the Party's founding, we can conclude that the influence of ideology on the public narratives generated by the media is enormous and unavoidable. From another perspective, how ontology conducts its own editing to convey attitudes and messages that satisfy both the subject and the receiver is also a question for us to discuss.
