EL ENFOQUE COGNITIVO CONCEPTUAL DE TIEMPO EN LA METÁFORA: UN ESTUDIO COMPARATIVO ENTRE ÁRABE Y ESPAÑOL

Since the advent of the theory of conceptual metaphor (TMC onwards) in 1980, the traditional conception of the figure of metaphor contrasts with that of the most recent studies about it. Although these studies reveal what the metaphor is often seen as a mere part of everyday language. Other times, however, is associated only to the literary language.
In this article we will make a comparative study by developing, at least partially, of a comparative analysis of conceptual metaphors of time between two languages (unrelated to have such different origins) such as Arabic and Spanish. Moreover, this research tries to show how the abstract concept of time is conceptualized in more concrete terms, ie, in both languages, time as an entity moving conceptualized.
