With eminently self-taught training in the musical field, he began his prolific career in the early sixties in jazz ensembles and orchestras, later going on to make arrangements for numerous highly prestigious groups on record labels such as Zafiro or Columbia. His debut in the cinematographic field occurred in 1970, and since then, in his more than ninety films and series he has worked under the orders of directors such as Jaime de Armiñán, Juan Antonio Bardem, Josefina Molina, Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón, Vicente Aranda, Fernando Colomo, Imanol Uribe, Pilar Miró or José Luis Cuerda, among many others. In addition to his spectacular career in the field of musical creation, Nieto has also dedicated a large part of his career to pedagogy, teaching in some of the most renowned educational centers in our country.
