Lenguajes visuales en la Era del Desarrollo: Análisis de las campañas fílmicas y fotográficas de las Naciones Unidas (1945-1970)

Resumen

A partir de fuentes primarias acopiadas en archivos de las agencias especializadas de la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU), el artículo explora la vinculación del cine educativo y la fotografía documental al programa global de comunicaciones con el que estas difundieron su modelo de desarrollo y asistencia técnica en la segunda posguerra. Aunque ambas expresiones fueron valoradas positivamente por sus alcances masivos, la integración de cada una al engranaje institucional de las agencias sorteó vicisitudes particulares que merece la pena tematizar, pues revelan la capacidad adaptativa del discurso desarrollista y del multilateralismo a agitaciones del periodo como la Guerra Fría y los procesos de descolonización en el Sur Global.
