Abstract

This short story aims to give a voice to those who normally don't have one. Through the reflection that arises from a sleepless night, it reveals the suffering, helplessness, and desolation in the face of the tragedy that devastates Palestine, as it devastates so many other parts of the world. The words describe the horror of lives taken, of dreams shattered, of stories broken, of names turned into numbers. And, amidst so much desolation, the words make a call for empathy, for the humanity we have lost in the midst of a sea of indifference.
