Abstract

The guide for teachers addresses the dynamics of participation in university classrooms from a gender and diversity perspective, responding to the feminist and inclusive social transformation promoted in recent years. Its authors highlight the growing awareness of disparities and the importance of counteracting biases in the culture of participation in university classrooms. Above all, they underline the crucial role of teachers in the formation of students, proposing a critical and reflective pedagogy as an alternative to practices that generate inequality in the university. The work, the result of an inter-faculty and interdisciplinary research project, offers a theoretical and empirical analysis, as well as methodological strategies and didactic resources to promote active and equitable participation. Standing out as a pioneer in Spain, the book contributes to gender equality and the full inclusion of all citizens in educational and social spaces.
