Abstract

The Digital Practices & Cultures Space-Network of the UNIA (Universidad Internacional de Andalucía, or International University of Andalusia) aims at approaching the social implications of digital technologies in the contemporary world as a cross-disciplinary academic field, as well as at working actively towards the incorporation of these emergent cultures and logics into higher education. ‘Design thinking’ has been included within the set of issues identified as priority aspects in order to grasp the complexities of this unexpected scenario. This paper explains why ‘design thinking’ is one of these relevant issues and how the project attempts to apply it to its activity.
