Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • When sending a work to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensure an anonymous evaluation must be followed.
  • The text will comply with the stylistic and bibliographic requirements summarized in the Author's Guidelines, which can be found in About the Journal.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format with the template indicated below, point 6., but without the names of the authors for the sake of anonymity.
  • All papers, especially research papers, are encouraged to provide evidence of the data used in the analyses that can be added as supplementary files.
  • The work of shared authorship does not exceed four authors and is indicated in notes at the end of the article and once the participation of each author in said work has been approved.
  • FOLLOWS APA 7 STANDARDS
  • The text will be single-spaced; font size 12 dots; italics will be used instead of underlining (except in URLs); and all illustrations, figures and tables will be placed in the appropriate parts of the text, rather than at the end.
  • The work has not previously been published or submitted for consideration to any other journal (or an explanation needs to be provided in the Comments to Editor)

Author Guidelines

Before submitting a paper, authors who wish to collaborate with the Journal need to register on its website and accept the methods of research, experiences and reviews. They can also submit monographs which must always abide to the following guidelines:

- Researches (minimum 4000 words and maximum 6000 words, including abstract, key words and references) must follow the IMRAD format (Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion).

- Experiences (minimum 4000 words and maximum 6000 words, including abstract, key words and references).

- Reviews (maximun 600 words). Critical reviews describing the value of the work submitted, a copy will be sent to the publisher.

Size of the works

1. Papers must be original and deal with work experience, academic and extracurricular internships.

2. In the metadata the extension of the title will be 80 characters with space at the most and will be written in the three languages (Spanish, English and Portuguese), in the article to be uploaded only two will be used, the language in which the text is written and in English obligatory in all cases.

3. An abstract of 150 words maximum written in the 2 selected languages will be included, following the IMRYD system (Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion).

4. Include 5 descriptors/key words written in the three languages (Spanish, English and Portuguese) using the Unesco Thesaurus.

5. The article must be written in such a way as to make blind peer review possible, i.e. any data identifying the authors must be avoided.

6. The style features of the original works are:

? Format: Templete Word. The name of the file must contain the title of the work.

 It is mandatory to use the Template 

? Images and graphic files must be integrated in the text and numbered consecutively. To ensure good quality, they should be attached to the text in separate JPEG or PNG format files. A maximum of seven images, graphs, tables, etc. will be admitted.

7. Foot notes should be avoided, should they be necessary they will be placed as a NOTE at the end of the article, before the references

8. References should be as current as possible and be primary citations, i.e., extracted from the original documents. It is recommended that there should be a 50% proportion of references from prestigious national and international journals, indexed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Scopus, Dialnet Metrics, REDIB. Bibliographic references must be alphabetically ordered according to APA’s 7 (American Psychology Association) A summary presentation is available at the top of this page and more information can be found at http://www.apastyle.org/.  

9. It is recommended to avoid excessive use of quotations from the authors themselves and from articles in the Revista Prácticum. Articles proposed for publication in the journal Prácticum should have at least 30 bibliographical references. All references will state the DOI or, if not available, the journal's website address rather than the databases or academic portals.

Rules for reviews

1. Bibliographic reviews must be original and deal with work experience, academic and extracurricular internships. The work reviewed must have been published in the last three years.

2.     The work will have a length maximun 600 words all inclusive, with the following specifications:

?     The complete bibliographical reference of the work must appear first, together with an image of the cover. To ensure good quality, they should be attached to the text in separate JPEG or PNG format files.

Thesaurus

We recommend that publications and their keywords contain terms used in scientific Thesaurus such as ERIC-Thesaurus (http://eric.ed.gov/), UNESCO (http://databases.unesco.org/thessp/), the Thesaurus of the journal itself, etc.

Recensions

Recensiones (entre 600 y 700 palabras). Recensiones críticas donde se describa el valor de trabajo presentado, enviando un ejemplar a la editorial.

Monographic

Research between 5000-6000 words including references) will apply an IMR&D model (introduction, methodology, results and discussion)

Mycelaneous
