Abstract

A great part of the female pupils of the famous design school known as Bauhaus (1919-1933) were ignored during decades despite the extraordinary qualities demonstrated throughout their lives. There, the students who accepted their destiny in the Weave Workshop (Anni Albers or Margaret Leischner, amongst others) stood out as much as the dissidents who were trained as designers in the different fields of interior design and of architecture (Marianne Brandt, Alma Buscher, Grete Marks, etc.). All of them form an extraordinary group that shines with its own light.
