Abstract

In this article, we propose the comparative analysis of the film Guernica (Alain Resnais, 1950), and the analysis of the famous Picasso's picture, and other previous and rears paintings of him, which were used by this documentary like a expressive strategy. In this way, we'll be allowed to
see how Resnais was inspired by the life and the work of Picasso, especially in a sociologist and Political way, to offer us a very personal vision from the happenings in Guernica in 1937.
