Abstract

This article presents several historie documents and reflections about life and work of a unknownfamily of sculptors, the "Asensio de la Cerda", who lived in Málaga along XVIII Century.
The father, his brother and his son got at their time an eminent position into development of the Baroque Sculpture in Málaga and other provinces even. lnformation given by specific documentation about them and their works shows the artistic forms and iconographic evolution felt in a esthetic and artistic conception into wooden painted sacred imagery in this town al the last of Ancient Regime.
