Abstract

This article is willing to analyze Juan Daniel Fullaondo’s writings on architecture. He was the director of the magazine Nueva Forma from 1967 to 1975. This publication was the main mass media that published his texts assiduously which became an important fact for the evolution of his thoughtful handwriting. The dialogue established between his critique and the architectural and artistic work analyzed shows a clear evolution from a positive or «university» critique to a critique of interpretation, following Roland Barthes’s terminology. In this evolution, the sculptor Jorge Oteiza assumes a distinguished active role becoming the most important subject for the evolution of Fullaondo’s critique.
