One of the reasons why Documenta14 will be remembered is the gesture of dividing it into two venues, that of Athens and that of Kassel. Another will be the great controversy generated in both cities for different reasons, both locally and in the field of art. One more reason to evoke it in the future will be the proposal - for some brilliant, for others opportunist, for others simply boring - to recover universalist notions, of "translocal" and situated character. Taking risks, with their mistakes and great contradictions, the undeniable is that this edition has tried to face the moments of urgency that are experienced in recent times, as well as establish a broad public debate on the worrying political landscape that rises in front of us.
