Under the title "Espacio público y tejido social: arte colaborativo en tiempos de crisis", the editorial team of "Umática, Revista sobre creación y análisis de la imagen" and the research project "El barrio como escenario de pedagogías críticas y arte colaborativo" (PGC2018-094351-B-C42), of the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, present a set of critical critical contributions that review the theoretical, methodological and practical keys associated to the practices associated with the boost that participatory or collaborative policies have received since the impact of the 2008 crisis. the impact of the 2008 crisis on participatory or collaborative policies in artistic management and artistic creation linked to the neighborhood as a specific context.
The contribution of Rogelio López-Cuenca to the cover of the issue is, beyond the honor with which those responsible for this edition receive it, a declaration of intentions about the horizon to which the aforementioned reviews aspire. The image corresponds to the installation Mapa de Valencia (2015) [1]. An installation that documents the work of the collective involved in the workshop No/W/Here, coordinated by López-Cuenca and with the collaboration of the IVAM and the UPV [2], and that gives an account of a change of paradigm in which the impact of the artistic intervention is glimpsed in a new way. of artistic intervention can be glimpsed in those places that our capitalized environment leaves uncovered.
