Special Issue: Generative Artificial Intelligence and Translator and Interpreter Training

redit – Electronic Journal of Translation and Interpreting Didactics invites submissions for a special issue focusing on the critical and applied implications of generative artificial intelligence in translator and interpreter education.

The issue welcomes theoretical, empirical and pedagogical contributions addressing, among others, the following topics:

  • Pedagogical uses of language models in translation and interpreting training

  • AI-supported self-study, self-regulation and feedback

  • Task design, assessment and training quality with AI tools

  • Ethical issues, risks and limitations of AI in educational settings
