Abstract

The study, cataloguing and commentary of a specific signposting system proposed in the course Integral Information and Orientation Systems refers here to the one carried out by Ana Carnicer for the Guadalteba Heritage Net, a Spanish region located in the northwest of the province of Malaga, which takes its name from the river of the same name, a tributary of the Guadalhorce, and which is made up of eight municipalities: Almargen, Ardales, Campillos, Cañete la Real, Carratraca, Cuevas del Becerro, Sierra de Yeguas and Teba.

According to the author's website, the work was carried out in collaboration with Antonio Aranda, creating the corporate identity of the Guadalteba Heritage Network, a system of heritage interpretation centres with a very innovative concept. For each centre a symbol has been created to illustrate the concept to which it is dedicated, relating the historical period by means of a chromatic code.
