Abstract

Alessandro Mendini defines the complexity of the creative process as the dimension that it acquires when the path becomes complex, making us lose our goal and in any way providing the exploration of new alternatives and sometimes highly complex.

Thinking about this concept, there is analyzed that it is in moment of peak complexity when innovation leads. Moments where the designer has to put the required filter that will give order and priority to all the generated data during the creative process, acquiring diverse dimensions, different types of innovation are generated as shape, use or technology.
The complexity during the creative process can be very rewarding, it can bring us considerable added value. But likewise, we must reflect that a poorly structured complexity can be a source of confusion and frustration.
