Abstract

The aim of this article is to present the concept of evil in Soloviev and Berdyaev´s philosophy as an original approach that has to do with the simultaneous understanding of human nature and freedom. Both of them considered that evil is a force, a possibility of freedom, whose only way to defeat it is by assuming the ethical task of the human being to collaborate with the divine. That is why we will analyze from Soloviev the figure of the Antichrist, as a symbol of the human being who has broken his ties with the divine; For Berdyaev, the only way to overcome evil, or to defeat it, represents the most important ethical task since evil is a necessity in the process of spiritual transformation of the human being. That is, its construction depends on the strength to fight against evil.
