On July 26th, 1608, died in Cordoba Pablo de Céspedes. The next day, executors and scribes began the inventory of his properties and reflected it in an affi davit. In 1903, Ramírez de Arellano first published the named document that now has been transcribed again. Its analysis, which remained then pending to be done, and its comparison for verification with what has been supplied about Pablo de Céspedes by the modern historiography and other sources, have allowed to formulate new hypothesis and have shed light on the figure of this humanist and painter
