Abstract

Within the immaculist hatching developed during the Spanish Baroque, continuous relief acts, processions, etc. occurred throughout the Spanish territory. Along with this, by way of exaltation, memorials to the Immaculate also appeared in some cities, as in the case of Granada. Although one of the most famous is the so-called Triunfo, located in that city, less known is the object of our study, which is located in the Abbey of Sacro Monte and dates back from 1738. This paper analyses the historical data about its construction found in the archives of the sacromontana institution.
