In the carpentry of Malaga in the late middle ages the author studies woodwork from three differents standpoints: on the one hand, detecting the difficulties of supply of this raw material; on the other hand, working out the degree of guild organization reached by the two most representative crafts in this sector -carpenters and coopers-; finally analysing the technical level developed by both crafts and knowing the processes of transformation of wood.
