Since its foundation in 1973, the emblem of the University of Malaga has had a unique interest in using Picasso's Dove of Peace. In the study of the symbol as the institution's coat of arms, doubts are clarified and errors of formal and written transcription rectified. Likewise, its definition is adjusted to the heraldic language. However, just as it was decided to create its own corporate logo for institutional administrative use, as a promotional reference and trademark, a new symbol was created to be used together with or independently of the logo, just as this anagram could be used separately. In a practical and contemporary way, the new symbol reflects the reference of Picasso, which is still present in its ultimate protocol. An interpretation of Picasso's doves, in maximum expression and greater graphic simplicity. Thus, it represents a heart symbolising the fraternity essential for Peace.
