About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The JOURNAL OF DIDACTICS OF TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION (redit) is an annual electronic scientific journal.
Peer Review Process
The REDIT journal operates with an Editorial Board according to the criteria stemming from its own operating regulations. In addition to the Editorial Board, redit has an Advisory Board composed of prestigious members of the scientific and academic community. Before publication, the article will be anonymously peer-reviewed, who may make suggestions for revision and improvement, if applicable, for the preparation of the editable version.
Article Admission
Once an article is received by the Editorial Board Secretary, it will be sent to experts to report on its scientific relevance. This report will be absolutely confidential. Upon receiving the reports, the Editorial Board will decide in which issue the articles will be published, or may decide not to publish them in extreme cases if deemed appropriate. In case of rejection, the Editorial Board will always communicate the reasons for it.
Unsolicited Articles by the Editorial Board
They will be selected according to their timeliness and interest to the journal and may be published in the issue the Editorial Board deems appropriate. In case of acceptance, the author(s) will be informed of the issue in which their articles will be published. In case of rejection, the Editorial Board will always communicate the reasons for it.
Those interested in publishing their articles in redit must strictly adhere to the following guidelines.

Open Access Policy
This journal provides open access to its content, based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Plagiarism Policy
REDIT maintains an anti-plagiarism policy that ensures all published works are original by professionally applying Crossref Similarity Check services from iThenticate to scan all submissions.
We use the service for all documents that have passed the editorial classification process and are likely to be sent for blind peer review.
The journal reserves the right to reject articles with an inappropriate similarity percentage.
We also have specific plagiarism detection tools such as Unicheck, an open-access platform that monitors originality and controls plagiarism.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
Authors are not required to pay article processing charges (APC) in this journal.
Digital Preservation Policies
All of our electronic content (website, manuscripts, etc.) is stored on several sources. Content on one server is online and accessible to the readers. The copy of the same content is kept as a backup on as the OJS software makes weekly copies through LOCKSS and CLOCKS archiving systems. DOIs of the articles also ensure the durability of access through Crossref. The content of the journal is also available in open access in different databases such as REBID and DIALNET, which guarantees the preservation of content by more than one database.
The ELECTRONIC JOURNAL OF DIDACTICS OF TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETATION (redit) is promoted by a group of professors interested in the scientific development and professional practice of teaching and learning translation and interpretation (TI). The journal's objective is to encompass various theoretical approaches and pedagogical action proposals applied to TI, as well as teaching approaches towards the professional practice and its requirements. We aim for it to be a platform for exchange among specialists interested in reflecting on teaching in translation and interpretation studies, especially in the new context of the Information Society, which entails profound changes in pedagogical approaches, whose opportunities and limitations are important to study.
