Throughout this article it will be explained how the relationship of identity built by Nietzsche upon the concept of friend and enemy is one of the most polemic aspects of his thought. In order to introduce this theme the ideas of the two other thinkers that influenced him in this respect will be expanded upon, analyzing the sense in which for this philosophy the friend is an enemy for the so-called «man of knowledge». After this some ideas by Jacques Derrida and Paul van Tongeren around the theme of the Nietzsche- an friendship will be considered, as well as a meditation about the distinction between
friend/enemy and friend/comrade. Finally there will be a discussion about the absence of compassive friendship and compassion in general throughout Nietzsche’s works.
