This investigation has been made within the framwork of the research which we have been carrying out on the speeches and practices relative to the city in the period which has come to be called post-modern. Specifically, the "undue" use of Heidegger by certain technical experts in the city and architecture are analysed demonstrating that this use hides Heidegger´ s important contribution to the development of the concept of inhabiting.
