Manufacturing in the Malaga economic structure of the 18th century

It is usually affirmed that Malaga´ s economy in the Modern Age was based on the export of its viticultural production. It was also believed that its factories only covered the basic needs of its population. However, up to the present moment no studies about the industrial economy in Málaga have been undertaken. it is the aim of the present essay to make such a study by analyzing the importance of the different subsectors of economic activity and of the trades that were grouped in them and our study will be based on the information provided by Ensenada´ s Cadaster.
