This advance, sometimes unfortunate economic crisis, has an obvious historical germ in the preceding centuries. The love of neighbor, inspired by Christian doctrine, was the main driver of the various forms of aid implemented since the Middle Ages. The mainstay of what constituted charitable individual and collective actions by lay materialized in pious foundations and fraternities, which are represented at any point of the Spanish, during the Old Regime. Serve this article to expose the reality of care observed in the town of Antequera, as an example of the wide network Iberian Peninsula beneficial soil woven from XVI century.
