Togati Hispaniae. Approach to the study of robed sculptures in Hispania

This article is the first in a series of studies the author devotes to the study of togated Roman sculptures known as the togati of the Iberian Peninsula. The present study provide a general introduction to the topic and refers to the main lines of research carried out in this field. In the second part of the study, an analysis is given of literary sources of both Greek and Latin authors who refer to the use of toga among the inhabitants of Hispania.
