The Alameda was a basic point in the town-planning development of Malaga from 1700´ s up to the 20th century. This essay is to highlight its relationship with the Paseo del Prado in Madrid, which its takes as its illustrated model and from wich it differs in some aspects: its own characteristics make necessary the study of its urban, aesthetic, iconographic and sociological importance.
