At the beginning of 20th century, low-income population had, in many cases, to obtain their dwelling in the renting market. If in Andalucia the “corralones” were the option of this sector, in Argetina were the “conventillos” and “inquilinatos”. Although those from Buenos Aires are the most popular, in many other cities they were present too; this paper tries to show the origin, evolution and actual situation of the inquilinatos at San Miguel de Tucumán.
