The Modern Age marked the begin of the worry towards the forest of the Iberian Peninsula. XVIII century was an age of advances in which within a new concept of man and nature, the traditional pratices of enjoyment of the mount, which reduced progressively the surfaces with available trees, were maintained. A circumstance that intended to be solved with a novel legislation emanated of the Crown that presented a double purpose: protect the forest and delimit those one in which the wood was considered well strategic for its subsequent use in the naval construction.
