Approach to a charitable institution from Malaga in the XVIII century: The Invalid Hospital

The Hospital de Inválidas, founded in 1731, is one of the institutions with a charitable character that appeared in Malaga in the eighteenth century. Its purpose was to offer assistance care and accommodation to poor, sick lonely old women. Although economic matters always urged on the hospital, that relied on the municipal support, it continued developing its social labour throught nineteenth century. In this article we will focuss on all those difficulties surrounded its origins.
