The Dutch artist Constant Nieuwenhuys, recently deceased, gave substance to the proposals of the International Situationist for the future urbanism through his utopian city, New Babylon. For almost twenty years, his project developed through maquettes, drawings, engravings, collages, etc., as well as several essays. This article revises the key elements of New Babylon and its connections with the situationist urban criticism.Downloads
