The aim of this work is to show the evolution of the relief that shapes the unit of Mounts of Malaga, revising briefly its geological evolution (until today) and the climatic, hydrographic, edaphic and human factors which act on it. For this purpose, materials such as graphics, aerials and “in situ” photographies and specific cartographies have been used. The given conclusions prove the complexity of the orographic range and its dynamism throughout time (both in the past and in the future) allowing a continuous evolution of its components (hillsides, soil, vegetation …) and even, regressions of these (as it happens in the case of fluvial nets, which may disappear generating paleochannels which are difficult to follow in plain sight).
