The introduction of information and communication technologies in the educational environment is seen as a crucial factor in the development of teachers' digital competence. This suggests the importance of continuously updating teachers' digital competence in order to adapt to changes in technology-driven educational practices. The aim of the article is to systematise teachers' digital competence training using bibliometrics and Methodi Ordinatio methodology. Relevant articles were searched in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. A total of 1,327 results were found and, after excluding the articles, 317 were left for analysis. The results of the meta-analysis were visualised in Vosviewer, summarising the relevant journals, authors and terms. It was concluded that the concept of digital teacher competence involves broader areas than instrumental knowledge of technology, but includes knowledge of pedagogical aspects, information, network communication, predisposition to self-development and socio-cultural aspects involving the use of digital technology and; above all, it requires critical teacher training for the conscious use of technology.
