Tratamiento del lenguaje del niño y de sus juegos en la traducción: The Giver y sus versiones en español y gallego

El lenguaje infantil, feudo fecundo para psicólogos y pedagogos, ha sido lamentablemente descuidado en los estudios de Traducción. Si tenemos en cuenta que los niños son personajes habituales de muchas obras literarias, especialmente en la Literatura Infantil y Juvenil, el estudio de su lenguaje se torna ya no aconsejable, sino necesario.
Con el presente estudio, basado en la obra de Lois Lowry, The Giver (Premio Newberry), y en sus traducciones al español y al gallego, pretendemos alertar a los traductores sobre las dificultades propias de la traducción de este tipo de lenguaje y analizar hasta qué punto el universo del infante en la cultura origen puede ser importado por la cultura meta.
