El Braveheart del s.XVIII: La versión de The Wallace de William Hamilton of Gilbertfield

La versión hecha por Hamilton en 1722 del poema Wallace, de Hary (de finales del siglo XV), no sólo tradujo a un inglés basado en la norma de Londres el texto original en escocés medio, sino que lo adaptó de diversas maneras, y lo recortó considerablemente. Sin embargo, refleja con bastante acierto el original, y fue muy popular en Escocia. A partir de algunos pasajes, este trabajo, cuyo autor está llevando a cabo la primera versión al español del poema Wallace íntegro, examina algunas diferencias entre el texto de Hary y la versión de Hamilton, intentando relacionarlas con la norma de la época.
