The objective of the study is to analyze, compare, and reflect on fitness trends in different locations across Mexico, covering four of its regions. The study replicates the methodology of Fitness Trends From Around the Globe in the Mexican context and was conducted in five stages: adaptation of the methodology to Spanish and local culture, selection of participating states, collaboration with university professionals in the field, analysis of fitness trends at the national level and in participating states, analysis of local contexts, and integration of the final document. When analyzing the top five prominent fitness trends by state, a total of 13 different trends emerged: walking, running, or cycling training, exercise and weight loss programs, personal training, aquatic exercises, self-guided or assisted stretching sessions, strength training, functional training, training and nutrition programs, sport-specific training, setting up a home gym, gyms with low costs and economical memberships, exercise programs for people with chronic diseases, and electric muscle stimulation (EMS) training. The study's results reveal cultural differences in tastes and needs regarding fitness programs among the different regions of Mexico.
