Abstract

This article offers a common perspective for different alternative set ordering proposals. Starting from an agent that has defined a preference relation and a similarity relation over the individual alternatives, an ordering over sets of alternatives that can be very large must be established. For this, the similarities between the alternatives that belong to each of these sets will be taken into account, with this premise several management options have been proposed in independent studies. They are presented here under a common framework.
