Apart from being an element of constant controversy within the study of the Old Regime taxation, the tithe has continued to be a focus of attention for a number of researches, paying special attention to the explanation of all that is related to this important source of income for the Crown and the Church. In this essay the collection and leasing systems of the said contribution in the Malaga diocese are analysed, using as a documental base, the norms laid down in 1515 under the Episcopacy of Don Diego Ramirez de Villaescusa.
