The expulsion of the Spanish Moors (T.N. the text refers to Moors converted to Christianity) from the kingdom of Granada in November 1570 was to have differing repercussions on the various towns and districts in the territory. This paper, a sequel to previous studies, provides an analysis of the most relevant aspects of the re-population process which began on this date in the Bentomiz Sierra, with its own peculiar features contrasting sharply with those experienced by various constituencies in Granada or Almería.
