Environmental units applied to impact control: the case of Torremolinos (Province of Málaga)

This paper studies the limits of the environmental unities in the municipal area of Torremolinos, based upon geomorphologic, climatic, biological and anthropic criteria. After analyzing each one of these unities, its dynamics and possible natural hazards are considered, and measures of control and handling are proposed.
