Institutional religion in Malaga

Taking heed of the Pope Clement X bull, issued on February, 1671, the Queen Mariana de Austria, Governor of the Spanish Monarchy during the minority of Carlos the Second, instructed the churches throughout the Kingdom, to commemorate certain religious events with the highest lavishness. Furthermore, she exhorted the town councils to attend at these events planned by the main local church.
