Throughout a litigation between the crown prosecutor and the council of Antequera concerning franchise privileges, the witnesses´statements for each party provide very interesting accounts about the city of Antequera. These accounts highlight the role played by Antequera in defence of the coast of Málaga on the period of transition to modern times.
