Lytic source supply in Alcaide field (Antequera-Málaga)

The present article deals with the works carried out at the lytic archaeological site of the Loma del Viento, a siliceous outcrio found in the Antequera area representing another context within the well-known site of Alcaide. In the course of the 1990 excavations, a systematic collection of Surface lythic ítems was carried out to study the intensity and nature of anthropic activities. The first results have allowed us to reconstruct the process of formation of the Surface lythic deposit, the dynamics of the creation of the archaeological context that has survived up to the present day, as well as the nature of the lythic explotation developed in this place of raw materials, isolating several operative chains overlapping both in space and time. Lastly, the already described technological processes have been related to the other contexts in this site, specially the well-known necrópolis in artificial caves and the habitation remains recently discovered on the side of the Loma del Viento.
