The development of factorial ecology as a method for the social analysis of urban space has produced a tendency to overlook other topics of great interest for the comprehensive understanding of the city space. In the present study, some reflections are offered on the integration of this type of analysis into the more traditional methods of geography as a discipline, especially its dynamic concept of the city.
